EXPECT ATTACKS

A friend of mine shared with me that right after they made a decision to do something God had been leading them to do that the enemy sent a frightening attack. She asked for prayer and I have prayed a shield of protection around her home and family.

This is exactly what happens when you make a good and right spiritual decision. It is almost always accompanied by a counterattack from Satan because he doesn’t like it. Your decision sends a warning to the devil’s ears to instantly put up his defenses. This isn’t proof that God wasn’t in what you did. Quite the opposite. It is proof that what you just did was threatening to Satan’s agenda. He is trying his best to intimidate you into backing down.

God is always stronger. “The Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world” (I John 4:4, NLT). All Satan has to work with are lies, counterfeits, and scare tactics. He has nothing real. Don’t fall for it. He is a lion roaming about “seeking whom he may devour” but he is a lying lion.
