DO YOU EVEN HAVE A CLUE WHO YOU ARE?

Because you are made in the image of God, the things you think and feel and are able to create are the types of things God thinks and feels and is able to create. Psalm 8:4-6 says, “What are mortals that You should think about them, human beings that You should care for them? Yet You made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything You made, putting all things under their authority.”

Do you know who you are? You are the next best thing to God!  That doesn’t even sound right. But Genesis 1:26 says, “Then God said, ’Let Us make human beings in Our image, to be like us.” And He did! Ephesians 2:10 reiterates this by saying, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

Sin marred all of that. It’s one thing to take a two-year-old’s scribbles and throw them in the trash. It’s a felony to deface a masterpiece hanging in the Louvre. 

You are a literal masterpiece, a self-portrait —so to speak, created by God Himself that Satan has defaced, deceived, and devalued. Of course, Satan can’t stand you. When he looks at you, he sees God.

Satan wants you to believe you are nothing more than mere scribbles with no more value than garbage. He wants you to believe you can never be restored. That’s a lie. And a lie is the only weapon Satan has.

The One who created you in His image in the first place is the One who is longing to restore you and “crown you with glory and honor.” 

You have no idea what you can do and who you can be when you allow the Healer, the Redeemer, and the Restorer to forgive you and make you like Himself again. That's the very last thing Satan wants you to realize.
