WHEN YOU JUST CAN’T FIGURE IT OUT

I was complaining (imagine that) about something concerning my computer. My son said, “Mom, just because you don’t understand how to do something doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.”

The same type of thing can be said about God and His Word. Just because you don’t understand something God says or does doesn’t mean it’s not truth. Your job is to obey…even the things you don’t understand.

Actually, when you obey the parts of the Bible you do understand you will begin to understand the parts of the Bible you don’t. I believe that’s a quote of my dad’s.

The very first piece of the armor of God you are told to put on every day is the belt of truth. Why is that? It is because the only weapon Satan has is the weapon of deception. When you don’t know the One who is the truth, read the truth that is found in the Word of God, and surround yourself with people who speak that truth, you are going to be deceived and brainwashed by a lie.
