STRONG AND COURAGEOUS?

STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

"So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD" (Psalm 31:24, NLT).

How many times am I weak and fearful? Oh, I feel weak and fearful and inadequate all the time. And yet over and over God commands us not to be.

And then when I want to be strong and courageous Satan whispers to me that would be presumptuous and proud. He lies on both ends. He either convinces me that there is no way I can do what I need to do or he convinces I that I am totally capable with no problems at all. Either way is so wrong. I am not to be pitiful or proud.

Here is the truth. You and I are able to be strong and courageous BECAUSE our hope is in HIM! It has nothing to do with who we are or what we are capable of doing. When we are not strong and courageous we aren't doubting our ability, we are doubting God's ability.

Stand up. Stand strong. Be bold. Be certain. Almighty God lives inside of you!!! If I were Satan I wouldn't want you to grasp ahold of that either.
