WHERE IS GOD?

“I love Your sanctuary LORD, the place where Your glorious presence dwells” Psalm 26:8.

Is this referring to the church building? I love the church building. Every time the doors are open, that’s where I want to be. Dear friends lift my heart and encourage me in Christ. I go away refreshed.

I love worshipping with the corporate body of Christ. “How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity.” The sweetness of a sea of lifted hands in praise is unsurpassed.

But the wonder of wonders is not the church building or the church services. It is that according to 1 Corinthians 6:19 MY body is the temple of God. “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you?”

That is unfathomable! My body, your body, is now the sanctuary, the place where the glorious presence of God dwells!!! Let that resonate. You cannot go anywhere without the glorious presence of God inside of you!!!

If that doesn’t change the things you do in that body, I don’t know what would. When we have guests for dinner there is a lot of cleaning that takes place in our home. That cleaning should be nothing compared with knowing that if we are believers the glorious presence of a holy God lives inside of us. There is nowhere we can go without Him. There is nothing we can do without Him. He is INSIDE of us. THAT is glorious beyond comprehension!
