“THE LEAST OF THESE”

Do you remember the UNDESERVED and the UNDERSERVED?

Why the undeserved? The reason is GRACE.

Of course, you should serve people you love and people who love you. God’s Word says that even the unrighteous do that. It is the undeserving that cause a problem. Grace is giving to those who deserve it the least. The acronym for G-R-A-C-E is God's Riches At Christ's Expense. He has given this grace to you so that you can pass it on to someone else. Who is the person you know who deserves it the least? Give to that person and you will preach a sermon without words. That person needs a grace gift from you. It could open their hard heart to receive a grace gift from Him.

Then, who are the people who are underserved?

Who are the people who are overlooked? Do you know anyone without family or with family who is estranged? Do you know someone who falls through the cracks and isn't on anyone's radar? If they come to your mind that means that absolutely, 100%, YOU are the one God has selected to minister to them. Be their "Secret Friend" or even better, be their non-secret friend. For this person, it could be better for them to know that a real person knows them, remembers them, and loves them. Let them see your face, know your name, and feel your touch.

The way these people are remembered by God is that God puts these people on the hearts of the servants He knows will inconvenience themselves for their needs. If you can't figure out how to make time for all the parties and lunches you are invited to maybe you should think about the person who has not been invited to a single one. Maybe you ought to skip one of your events and visit them instead. When you go take a love gift and a hug.

The undeserved and the underserved need you to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
