INAUGURATION DAY THOUGHTS
Today I got on my knees with tears in my eyes and prayed this to God and then I rose to my feet and lifted my hands to heaven and prayed this again to God:
"Yours, O LORD, is
THE GREATNESS
THE POWER
THE GLORY
THE VICTORY
AND THE MAJESTY!
Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is Your kingdom. We adore YOU as the One who is over all things.
Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything.
Power and might are in Your hand, and at Your discretion people are made great and given strength.
O our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name!
But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to You? Everything we have has come from You, and we give You only what You first gave us!"
I Chronicles 29:11-14, NLT
Our Savior is not Donald Trump. But God uses whomever He chooses to use. In the Old Testament Cyrus was a pagan king who was used of God to accomplish God's purposes.
"In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, the LORD fulfilled the prophecy He had given through Jeremiah. He stirred the heart of Cyrus to put this proclamation into writing and to send it throughout his kingdom" (Ezra 1:1, NLT). If you feel led, study more about Cyrus.
For the Children of Israel, the glory didn't go to Cyrus. It went to the God of Israel who stirred the heart of Cyrus to accomplish His will. For the citizens of the United States of America, the glory does not go to Donald J. Trump. I definitely give God thanks for President Trump, but the glory only goes to Almighty God who always accomplishes His purposes. I lift my hands today and give You glory my God.
"Yours, O LORD, is
THE GREATNESS
THE POWER
THE GLORY
THE VICTORY
AND THE MAJESTY!"
