THIS WORD MAY BE FOR YOU

Are you crippled by a foreboding sense of unworthiness, shame, and guilt? To believe that lie is the same as believing that Jesus never came, never lived, and never died.

At the cross Jesus was the propitiation for your sins. Propitiation is a big theological word that means complete satisfaction of a debt. That word needs to become a part of your vocabulary. When Satan whispers the lie that you are not good enough and can never be forgiven you need to take that thought captive by saying, "I do not consent to that. It has nothing to do with my unworthiness. Jesus is the propitiation for my sin."

When Jesus said, "It is finished," on the cross, He meant, "It is paid in full." God's wrath has been satisfied. Every sin you have ever committed has been paid in full. Your relationship with the Father has been restored, and because of Christ's payment, you can now "come boldly before the throne."

To believe you cannot be forgiven is to believe that Christ was not enough. It is to believe that what He did was inadequate. It is to call His death a failure. It is to say His death was worthless.

Don't believe the lie. Don't take the bait. Don't deny the power of the saving grace of Christ. To dwell on your sin is to deny His sufficiency. You are sitting in a prison cell holding the key that unlocks the door in your hand. When you believe the truth, instead of the lie, and accept by faith the fact that the payment for your sin took place on Calvary, you are free to go.
