APART FROM HIM YOU CAN DO NOTHING

"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing." John 15:5

This is one of my life verses. I certainly have not mastered it. Far from it. Instead, it is something I return to over and over again when I fail. Almost every single failure in my life has come when I attempted to do things in my own strength, power, strategy, or hard work instead of simply abiding in Him and allowing Him to do it through me.

No matter how capable I may think I am,

No matter how good I think my plan is going to turn out,

No matter how hard I work,

No matter how much I persevere

And regardless of how much I follow through,

I have found that "apart from HIM I can do nothing."

God will shut me down when I am not abiding in Him.

I will add, on the other side of the equation that when I do abide in Him and when I do allow Him to do it through me, He has done things that are far and beyond anything I could have ever imagined to be possible.
